Westridge was designed for a housing developer to be a public option beside 36 private holes in their development, resulting in a loop course where most holes have houses on both sides, and several detention ponds required by development.
The course is unique in that it features six par 3, six par 4 and six par 5 holes. It is designed to be a fun, residential golf course where local residents can catch a “quick 9 or 18 after work.” It also features a 40 stall driving range, scene of many after hours golf events.
Unique holes include the 13th, a par 5 with multiple entries to the green and the 18th, where the green connects directly to the adjacent putting green behind. The front nine concludes with three back breakers of 216, 489, and 616 yards. Hopefully, you play on a day when the prevailing tail wind is in effect.
