Built for the Opryland Hotel, PGA Tour player Larry Nelson was the consulting pro. We won the job based on our proven ability to craft a great course on flat land, and provide drainage in flood prone situations. It sits on a long strip of land between the Cumberland River and dramatic limestone bluffs. We crafted a links style course with elevated greens and a variety of hazards.
The course hosted 1994-2002 BellSouth Senior Classic at Opryland, 2003 Music City Championship at Gaylord Opryland and several amateur tournaments. Accolades include being voted one of the Best Courses You Can Play by GolfWeek.
At the signature fourth hole, you’ll find the century-old springhouse from which the club derived its name. The third is also unique, a par 3 with a highly elevated fortress green, while the 13th is backed by a dramatic bluff. A link to their video is shown below.
