The real test of any golf course architect’s metal is the ability to create fine golf courses on many types of land. There are many clues that Brauer can pass that test –
-The awards, rankings and accolades received
-The visually stunning designs that please the eye
-The playability that golfers seek
-The technical excellence supporting great design, such as
— Typically moves less than 200,000 cubic yards, half that of many architects – he knows how to use the land
— Reasonable budgets that allow his clients to proper after opening without being drowned in debt
— Courses that drain as quickly as the rain stops.
With nearly 60 new course designs, ranging from nine hole executive courses to tournament sites, Jeffrey D. Brauer has more designs to his credit than most, with only a handful having higher output.
While he can and will design to extremes, his main goal is to design new courses that golfers return to again and again, the course you could play every day without tiring of it.
