Jeffrey D. Brauer, ASGCA announces the renovation of Iron Horse Golf Course in the City of North Richland Hills, Texas. Texas is not foreign territory to the awarding-winning architect. He recently completed the design and construction of Tempest Golf Course in Gladewater, TX. In 2004, Brauer fully renovated Indian Creek Golf course in Carrollton, Tx. The Golf course was heralded as the “Best Affordable” course in Golf Digest.
Along with the complete renovation of the former Southern Hills County Club, now the Dallas Cowboys Golf Club in Gladewater, Texas, Brauer has designed new golf courses across the state. Namely, The Wilderness in Lake Jackson Texas, West Ridge in McKinney, Whitestone in Benbrook, Villages of Lone Oak in Lone Ridgeview Ranch in Plano and Tangle Ridge in Grand Prairie Texas respectively
At Iron Horse, Brauer will focus on areas of the course that yields too little or too much water. He plans to design a new irrigation system correct the issues there. This will ensure continual play for golfers. Which is one of the primary and ultimate objectives in renovation or designing a new golf course.
